World Planning Congress Team

Guided by General Rapporteurs Ulrich Graute and Nadine Bitar Chahine, the 2025 Congress Team unites diverse perspectives from the Global South and North. Drawing on expertise across academia and professional practice, the team is shaping an inspiring programme that builds on ISOCARP's legacy of collaboration and knowledge exchange. This year's Congress centres on the theme "Cities and Regions in Action: Planning Pathways to Resilience and Quality of Life," offering a platform to share ideas, highlight transformative projects, and co-create strategies for sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities worldwide. Join us in Riyadh to be part of this vibrant dialogue shaping the future of urban and regional planning globally.

The World Planning Congress Team is responsible for curating the Congress Tracks and shaping the Programme of the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress. Their task - bringing together innovative and diverse speakers at the forefront of the planning profession and developing engaging sessions, workshops and side activities - is central to the success of the WPC61-Riyadh.
