IMPORTANT: If you have submitted an abstract or already have an account on the Congress website, please make sure to log in to your account before purchasing a ticket. If you buy a ticket without being logged in, we will not be able to assign it to the account associated with your abstract submission.

Congress Fees

Ticketing Conditions

  • * National Student Ticket Category: Available to full-time students enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD course (both authors and non-authors). You will need to upload proof of your current student status during the registration process.
  • **International Discounted Ticket Category: this category is intended for: 
    • International students (PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's) with valid proof of student status (e.g., student ID or enrollment certificate).
    • Participants from or residing in low or lower-middle income countries (proof of residence will be requested during the registration process; a public or utility document showing your address will be sufficient).
  • Online tickets: Available for participants who are unable to attend the in-person Congress in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but are passionate about the theme and would like to attend virtually.
  • Accompanying persons: Access to social events, but no congress entry.
  • For Authors: ISOCARP requires that at least one of the authors of each research paper or case study registers and presents it in the Congress, in order for the contribution to be included in the Congress programme and proceedings.

 Registration Guidelines

  • This year we are handling ticketing through the Congress website. Once you have purchased your ticket, it will be available within your Congress account.
  • Registration: please click on the REGISTER NOW button. You will be redirected to login to your Dryfta account. Please select 'buy tickets' to purchase the correct ticket and make payment. Tickets will be available within your Congress account.
  • All fees are payable in Euros (EUR) through credit card and bank transfer, and are quoted per person. 
  • Invoices: Invoices will be sent by email once the registration has been complete. 

Terms and Conditions of Registration

Completion of registration information signifies acceptance of the terms and conditions below relating to the 61st ISOCARP World Planning Congress 2025, taking place from 1-4 December 2025 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Payment and Cancellation Policy

1. Payment may be made by credit/debit card (VISA, Mastercard) or invoice (bank transfer) in Euro € and should be received within 4 weeks of registering. Credit card only payment is required for registrations from 1 September 2025.
2. All payments must be made prior to the start of the conference.
3. Any early-bird registrations that remain unpaid by 30 September 2025 will automatically be converted to the next price band on the 1 October 2025. 
4. The registration deadline for all registrants is 17 November 2025.
5. Cancellation for ISOCARP 2025 in-person registrations. A refund will be made as follows:

 6. Adjustments due to VISA application delay or refusal:

  • Notification in writing to riyadhcongress@isocarp.org by 1 September 2025: Your in-person ticket can be adjusted to a virtual ticket. The difference between the two tickets will be refunded, minus a processing fee of €25 + the Dryfta fees. 
  • Notification in writing to riyadhcongress@isocarp.org from 2 September 2025: Your in-person ticket can be adjusted to a virtual ticket. No refund for difference in fees. 
  • If your cancellation is due to the rejection of your VISA application, you are required to send us your official VISA rejection letter. 
  • If the rejection of your VISA application is due to fraudulent activity, the fees are non-refundable. 

7. There will be no refunds for cancellations of registrations for virtual tickets.  
8. Congress tickets are not transferable. 
9. We reserve the right to make changes to the registration items based on eligibility criteria and invoice for the difference in fees.

Other

10. ISOCARP reserves the right to make changes necessary to the conference programme that may result from government-imposed travel restrictions including COVID-19 or for any other reason.
11. ISOCARP reserves the right to change the format of the conference to virtual only, should any government-imposed travel restrictions including COVID-19 or other restrictions result in the cancellation of the in-person event. 
12. You should ensure you have appropriate travel insurance including Coronavirus medical and repatriation cover. If restrictions due to COVID-19 or other unforeseen circumstances mean you are unable to attend the event, the cancellation policy above will apply.
13. It is your responsibility to comply with all instructions given at the event and to comply with all applicable laws, including health and safety laws, fire regulations and any code of conduct relating to COVID-19 or for any other reason whilst at the venue.
14. Adequate travel protection is also highly recommended for all conference participants as ISOCARP bears no responsibility for travel issues affecting attendance at the event.
15. You may, as part of the event, be recorded or photographed and by completing this booking you are agreeing for your image to be used by ISOCARP for promotional purposes. 
16. Privacy policy: All delegate and abstract data are owned by the International Society of City and Regional Planners. Seren Events Limited acts as the event agent to service these delegates before, during, and after the event, based solely on the contracted scope of the event. By making a booking for ISOCARP 2025, you consent to your personal data being shared with third parties authorised by ISOCARP to receive them in the process of delivering the event, including Seren Events Limited and Dryfta (event booking and abstract submission platform). 



ISOCARP Institutional Members' Benefits

Is your organisation an active ISOCARP Institutional Member? Then it is entitled to a number of Congress Registrations for one or more participants, according to its Membership category (Platinum, Gold or Silver). 

Please contact the Secretariat and ask for your Institutional Waiver Codes (riyadhcongress@isocarp.org). Please provide the exact names of the designated participants who will be using your Institutional Membership registrations. After we provide the Waiver Codes, they can be used during the normal registration process through our website.
